#TrackNigeria: Dr Samuel Nzekwe, a former President of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), has advised President Muhammadu to adopt an all inclusive government in his second term.

Nzekwe gave this advice in an interview in Lagos on Friday.

He said that the all inclusive government would  provide broad based administration.

He also called on the president to look into some of the criticisms he got in the first term and use them to  improve on his second term administration.

Nzekwe said that the new government should adopt an over-sight system to monitor activities in ministries, departments and agencies.

He urged the government to provide better environment for industry or productive sector to thrive.

“For instance, provision of constant supply of electricity will boost businesses and reduce cost of production which is on high side.

“There is no way the economy will grow without electricity. Any economy that relies on generators for businesses will be retrogressive,” Nzekwe added.

He called for well capitalised banks that could give longer term loans to boost businesses in country.

According to him, this will help our exports to be of standard to compete favourably in the international market.

“In the financial sector, we have not gotten mega banks that have the capacity to give short-term loans of five to 10 years, not to talk of a moratorium of five years before paying back.

“The short-term loans available are even with high interest rates which cannot be used to start businesses,” Nzekwe said. (NAN).
