Enyimba FC sends warning to inter-continental clubs

Enyimba International Football Club of Aba, has sent a strong warning to it 2014 CAF Champions League opponents, as it defeated Bayelsa United 3-0 on Friday at the Abuja National Stadium the venue of the ongoing Glo Premier League pre-season tournament (Super Four)

The Peoples Elephant would face Anges De Notse of Togo in the preliminary round of CAF Champions League next month. A win against their opponents will propel the club further.

However, to show their readiness for the championship, the Aba based Glo Premier League club opened their Super Four encounter against Bayelsa United on a winning note, and will square up against Kano Pillars the 2012-13 league winners on Sunday for their second game.
Kano Pillars lost 0-2 in their first game of the pre-season tournament to Warri Wolves, therefore, they would be expected to make amend in the second game when they confront Bayelsa United on Sunday.

A hat-trick from Bashar Abdulrahman was all the Peoples Elephant needed to make a bold statement of their intention of winning the pre-season competition and to inform their continental opponents that they are coming for them when the championship commences.
Enyimba unlike Kano Pillars will begin the CAF Champions league campaign at home to their opponents in the first leg of their preliminary pairing.

Enyimba International FC of Aba, the Nigerian premier league runners-up last season and twice African champions, would leave no stone unturned in their quest to re-launch themselves into the elite clubs of Africa .
