Enugu Police Command gets new IGP X-Squad Commander

A new Inspector-General of Police (IGP) X-Squad Commander has been posted to the Enugu State Police Command to oversee the conduct of its personnel in the state.

The Command’s Spokesman, SP Ebere Amaraizu, said on Thursday in Enugu that the newly posted IGP X-Squad Commander is Mr Ayodeji Faniyan, an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

Amaraizu said that Faniyan relieved ACP John Babangida, who had been redeployed to Cross River as Commander IGP X-Squad.

“The IGP X-Squad is one of the police internal accountability mechanisms that ensure that officers and men are accountable for their actions and inactions.

“They deal with cases of unprofessional conduct by the police against members of the public.

“The IGP X-Squad also ensures that erring police personnel are brought to book amongst others,’’ he said.

According to him, Faniyan can be reached on 07039256673 and 09055193071 for any complaint. NAN
