#TrackNigeria: Some youth groups in Sokoto Tuesday staged peaceful protest to demand for peaceful conduct of the 2019 general election.

The groups took their demands to the State Police Command,  headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission  (INEC) and Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) to request for violence-free election.

They appealed to politicians to restrain their supporters from engaging in violent electioneering that is capable of setting the state ablaze.

“Sokoto youths are peaceful and the bad element among the youth will not be allowed to set the state ablaze.

Sokoto state is one of the states marked as a trouble spot following the activities of political thugs there,” Umar Idris who led the youth groups said
