TrackNigeria: The Ogun Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) says it will deploy adequate personnel to assist the police in the conduct of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Election.

Mr Abdullahi Maiwada, the Public Relations Officer of NCS in Ogun, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota, Ogun, that the deployment of personnel was to complement the efforts of the police during the election.

Maiwada said that the number of personnel deployed would not be made known to the public for security reasons.

According to him, there would be intensive patrols to check and man the borders and the various checking points in the state.

“Approved routes will also be floated as usual as regard the Federal Government directives for floating of boarders,’’ he said.

Maiwada further disclosed that the command would intensify Anti-Smuggling Patrols in areas that there might be leakages. (NAN)
