Confab Delegates Agree on 70 per cent for Decision Making

KutigiThe delegates to the National Conference in Abuja have finally resolved a knotty issue which may pave way for commencement of real business of taking decisions to reshape Nigeria.
At the commencement of deliberations Monday morning , the delegates agreed that 70 percent of members should be acceptable for reaching decisions.
It was not an easy decision because the manner of disagreements among the delegates last week resulted in unusual outbursts especially by the Lamido of Adamawa who threatened to walk out if pushed to the wall.
The leaders of the confab, with a view to calming frayed nerves set up a 50-man group to resolve the issue of how the confab should reach an agreement.
With Monday’s decision ,any issue that cannot be resolved by consensus will pass with 70% of the delegates’ votes.
