An explosion suspected to have been detonated by a female suicide bomber has hit the library of Federal College of Education ,Kontagora in Niger State.
Initial reports said the bomber was killed while another person sustained injury.Other reports said at least 3 people were killed in the blast.Wednesday’s female suicide bomb blast in Kontagora was the first of its kind in the state
Though the police have reportedly confirmed the explosion,no official details have been released.
The explosion in Nigeria came two days after a suicide bomber killed about 50 school children on an assembly ground at a school in Potiskum Yobe State.A few days earlier in Potiskum,a bomb also hit a procession by Shiites in the state.Gombe and Azare have also been hit by bomb explosions in recent times.
All these have happened even after the federal government initially said a cease fire agreement had been agreed with Boko Haram insurgents.The insurgents have denied a deal and the FG too has recanted on its claim of ceasefire deal.
No group has claimed responsibility for the recent blasts yet.
