Breaking: 85-year-old Biya wins Cameroon’s presidential election for 7th term

The 85-year-old Paul Biya Monday emerged winner of Cameroon Presidential poll with 71.3 per cent of votes, according to official results.

His election is for the seventh term, with 35 years in power.

The Constitutional Council had rejected calls by the opposition last week for a re-run of the election and heavy security was built up against any perceived protest.
