Boko Haram:Bama LG Chairman Escapes Death, PA Killed

Mother luck was yesterday  with the  Bama local government council of Borno state when he escaped unhurt after gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram rained bullets on his vehicle on Wednesday in Maiduguri, the state .

Mr Babagana Ajari, a popular politician and current caretaker council of Bama was waylaid by his attackers as he was driving out of his Polo residence in Maiduguri at about 7.

An eyewitness told News Diary Online that he saw ‘a young man believed to be part of the gang approached his vehicle as he was easing into the street major road near his house, pretending to be of the usual political hangers on`

‘He spoke briefly to the and within a twinkle of an eye, a group of armed men, emerged with and started shooting at the chairman’s vehicle. The chairman summoned courage to move to drive off at a  break -neck  speed.

The police had continually declined making comments issue all through Thursday, as  a top security source confirmed the report.
