Bisquit Cognac hosts Celebrity Master chef Peter Goffe-Wood in Lagos

BisquitThe House of Bisquit Cognac, in partnership with Celebrity Master Chef, Mr. Pete Goffe-Wood of South Africa, is tapping into the booming global trend of “pop-up restaurants” to create a one-of-kind fine dining event, never before experienced in Nigeria.
The invitation-only evenings, titled ‘L’art de Vivre’ or the ‘The Art of Living’, is holding at the pop-up restaurant Le Griffon, a large dome that has been set up in Muri Okunola Park on Victoria Island from November 7 – 10, 2013. Bisquit Cognac is hosting the event as an innovative way to reconnect with its target market by offering a lifestyle event of the calibre only Bisquit Cognac can provide.
Speaking on the rationale for the event, Stanislas Ronteix, Global Marketing Director of Bisquit Cognac, said that the focus of the event is on delivering a fine dining experience to connoisseurs. According to him, “We are increasing our presence in Nigeria so as to avail our customers with the opportunity to savour the unique and exclusive experience of Bisquit Cognac. Events such as the ‘L’art de Vivre’ are designed to engage cognac connoisseurs in an evening of luxury, class and glamour.”
Inside the impressive venue the crème-de-la-crème of Nigerian society will be treated to gourmet food complimented by Bisquit Cognac, and the luxurious ambiance expected of a world-class restaurant.
The dome, which houses Le Griffon, is also a marvel in its own right, as Nigeria has never seen this structure on such a scale. Apart from being the largest dome ever erected in Nigeria, it is also full equipped with a bespoke kitchen, restaurant, and a bar, as well as specially fitted plumbing and air conditioning, and many other stunning facilities.
Goffe-Wood, the chef of the event who is perhaps best known as a television personality and celebrity judge on the M-Net reality competition cooking series MasterChef South Africa, expressed joy at coming to Nigeria to cater for this special event. “I’m delighted to partner with Bisquit Cognac in this unique event in bringing a fine-dining experience directly to Lagos. Too often we find ourselves leaving the continent in search of fine dining experiences in Europe and America.
