Adams Oshiomhole, ACN governorship candidate and incumbent governor of Edo State, has indeed  made good his pledge  to sink the PDP .Results of the election show that he won a landslide victory.

Official figures released by INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Kassim Geidam revealed that  the ACN scored 477,478, while PDP governorship candidate, General Charles Airhiavbere scored 144,325. The ANPP candidate, Solomon Edebiri  attained  third  position with 3,642.

General Airhiavbere in his immediate reaction, said, “I have heard the result, but I  am still studying the result. The  General’s Boundary street house has suddenly  a witnessed a lull in activities

Credit must go to the entire people of Edo state for the victory. But pundits expect the Oba of Benin’s palace to get  special commendation for not betraying Oshiomhole who was adopted as the Bini candidate long before the polls.  Reports are emerging  of  wild  jubilation across the streets of Benin city already.

For Chief Tony Anenih  , that may now be described as the erstwhile political godfather of Edo Politics, Oshiomhole’s victory signals the end of the road as the ‘godfather’ has been demystified by this defeat  of  his party
