The Anambra Police Command has disclosed that effective deployment of men and materials, coupled with good supervision, helped to reduce crime to the barest minimum in the state during the yuletide.
Mr Aderemi Adeoye, DCP in charge of Operations in the command, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Awka on Thursday.
Adeoye also rated the security environment in the state high during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
According to him, deployments have been effective with close supervision at different levels.
“Special patrols in major cities and on the highways have kept crime to the barest minimum.
It has been a very peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations in Anambra,” he said.
Adeoye commended other security agencies for their collaboration and the residents of the state for peaceful celebrations. (NAN)
