Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has inaugurated a Task force on Petroleum Products Monitoring with Gogo Fiberesima as Chairman.
Secretary to the State Government George Feyii, who performed the inauguration on behalf of the governor in Government House on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 said, the Task force is to ensure the monitoring and effective distribution of products allocated to the state get to the final consumers.
He enjoined the members to discharge their duties with the utmost interest of the state, adding that if done rightly it would check corruption in the process and ensure even distribution of the products .
Chairman of the Committee Gogo Fiberesima thanked the State Government for the opportunity given them and urged members to see the task not as avenue for enrichment but to serve the society.
