The founder and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries with headquarters in Auchi, Edo State, Apostle Johnson Suleman has debunked rumours that he is being funded by governor Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State. Reacting to the allegation that governor Amaechi is currently building a church worth N5 billion for him, Apostle Suleman said, “may God forgive whoever started this rumour”.
With a tinge of anger and righteous indignation, Apostle Suleman noted, “it is a diabolic lie, satanically concocted and damagingly misleading. The allegation was degeneratingly orchestrated by evil minds”. Frontally denying the allegations, Apostle Suleman said, “I am not a commercial pastor. I can walk out on any governor who errs. Prayer is a non profit venture”.
According to the fiery speaking man of God, “those peddling such evil news don’t know Governor Amaechi. He is not generous with state resources. One of the issues he has with people is because he refused to give money. If Governor Amaechi sustains me (with money) how do I correct him when he is wrong?”
He challenged anyone to visit his church and assess its worth. He claimed the church building in reference is certainly not worth anything close to the amount bandied by rumour mongers. “Does that church building look like what even N200 million was expended on?”, he rhetorically queried.
Apostle Suleman who became a household name due to his boldness and apt revelations on both national and international issues warned such evil minded people not to drag his name into politics and the mud. “Governor Amaechi is just a governor of 5 million people, but I am the overseer of a ministry that has its presence in 31 countries of the world. No one should dare drag me into political issues. Iam God’s servant. I won’t deny Amaechi, he has been my friend, and no matter what he is going through he is my friend and I won’t deny him”.
