The First Lady,Mrs Patience Jonathan has visited the women who survived an accident on their way home after the mega rally in Abuja last week.Mrs Jonathan who is known to have been “taking care of them , decided to visit the hospital today”,an official said.
Also, the National Council of Women’s Societies (NCWS) has commiserated with the family of Mrs Abigael Afusat Folashade Adisa, Senatorial district leader Women for Change and Development Initiative (W4CDI) who died in a car accident while returning to Lagos after the women mega rally held in Abuja last week.
Mrs. Adisa died reportedly when the bus conveying the contingent from Lagos crashed at the permanent site of University Of Abuja, Giri junction. Aside from the deceased, about five delegates in the bus also sustained injuries and are being treated in Primus international hospital, Karu, Abuja.
A statement by Nkechi Mba,President, National Council of Women’s Societies said the NCWS has sent messages of condolence to the family of the deceased while its officials have visited the hospital to ensure that the victims are receiving adequate attention.
“We will continue to offer our prayers to the families of the bereaved and those injured. May the Almighty God grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss. May God also grant those injured quick recovery”Mrs Mba said.No tags for this post.
