Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto state on Friday received the report from the investigation panel constituted to look into the leadership crisis that engulfed the Sokoto Traders Association.
Receiving the report from Chairman of the Committee, who is also Chairman of the state Civil Service Commission (CSC), Alhaji Mujtaba Ahmad, Tambuwal said that the choice of the membership was based on individual integrity, capable of intervening in the leadership crisis.
“We are sure that our judgment is not misplaced. None of you has vested interest in the association and we hope for a very fair and balanced report ,” the governor said, adding that government would look into the report carefully and apply its recommendations in order to resolve the crisis.
Earlier, Ahmad told Tambuwal that the Committee constituted on June 10th 2015 had investigated the crisis, made observations and recommendations after inviting the two factions.
