5115 officers promoted to ASP II by the Police Service Commission



okiroThe Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of five thousand one hundred and fifteen (5115) Police Inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendents of Police II. Among those promoted are four thousand six hundred and twenty-eight (4628) officers in the General Duties while four hundred and eighty seven (487) are Specialists. The promoted officers are those who were successful at the Departmental Selection Board interview. All the Promotions are with effect from the 31st of December, 2013.

A statement by Ferdinand U. Ekpe, asstant director (press and public relations) said the promotions are in line with the Commission’s statutory functions of formulation and implementation of policies aimed at efficiency and discipline in the Nigeria Police Force.

The Chairman of the Commission, Sir (Dr.) Mike Mbama Okiro who congratulated the newly promoted officers, admonished them to put in their very best in the discharge of their constitutional mandate of securing lives and property and that they should imbibe the principles of modern policing.
