The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced the automation of curriculum, accreditation admission, and general administration matters between the board, tertiary institutions and their regulatory agencies, through its Interactive e-Brochure and e-Syllabus System (IBASS).

FG reiterates commitment to harmonise public workers’ salaries

The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to harmonising salaries of workers in the public sector.

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, said this at a two-day national forum on compensation management on Monday in Abuja.

The forum was organised by Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS) in collaboration with the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission (NSIWC) and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES).

Stakeholders in the finance sector have urged insurance operators to offer tailored insurance solutions to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to deepen insurance penetration in the country.

A statement by Ms Chiamaka Ajeamo, Communications Manager, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), on Monday in Lagos,

said this was part of the submissions of the stakeholders at CIIN’s education seminar held in Benin, Edo, over the weekend.

FG commends UNILORIN hydro-power project

The Federal Government has commended the indigenous hydro-power project of the National Centre for Hydro-power Research and Development (NACHRED), University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) Centre, which is powered by the university dam.

According to a bulletin by the institution issued on Monday in Ilorin, Prof. Eli Bala, the Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), made the commendation during an inspection tour of the NACHRED Centre under construction and the hydro-power project.

A political support group in Zamfara, “Matawalle/Shehi Amalgamated Mobilisation Group’’, (MASAMOG) has described Gov. Bello Matawalle and former Gov. Abdul’aziz Yari as strong pillars of All Progressives Congress (APC) reconciliation drive in the state.
The group also said it was working to mobilise grassroots support for the APC candidates at all levels.
