osita-okechukwu-cnppThe South East Zonal Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mr. Osita Okechukwu has said that “If Ndigbo vote for Jonathan in 2015, it means that they have sold their birth right for a pot of porridge. If Ndigbo vote for Jonathan in 2015, they cannot even get the presidency in 2019 because we all know that power rotation in Nigeria is based on North-South basis and not on regional basis”

“This is the reason why we must support the APC, the only party presently constituted in Nigeria to guarantee Ndigbo presidency or vice presidency in 2015.

Okechukwu added that the APC has come to rescue the nation from PDP’s vice grip.He made these disclosures at the final councilorship campaign rally of APC at Ek-Udi local government area of Enugu on Thursday October 31, 2013.

“APC has come with the song of redemption. We have come to rescue Nigeria from the clutches of PDP. The first chapter of APC’s manifesto is War Against Corruption, for believe that no meaningful development can be made in Nigeria with PDP induced monumental corruption going in the land.

“As you are aware, four major progressive political parties-the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), Congress for Progressives Change (CPC), All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) and a bloc from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), came together, dropped their individual identities and merged into the APC.

“the birth of APC has redefined the political landscape in Nigeria as the electoral battle of 2015 is between APC and PDP.

He recalled that “In the past 14 years, PDP has failed the country in all facets as evidenced by development deficit, dire insecurity and gross unemployment, in the midst of unprecedented oil revenues.

“Therefore, APC has come with the song of redemption. We have come to rescue Nigeria from the clutches of PDP. The first chapter of APC’s manifesto is War Against Corruption, for believe that no meaningful development can be made in Nigeria with PDP induced monumental corruption going in the land.

“You can see that with all the support Ndigbo have given to PDP in the past 14 years, nothing that we have no stake in the ruling party and we have

“The PDP could not consider it fit to zone any of the offices in the official protocol list at the federal level to Ndigbo.

“With all the support of Ndigbo to PDP, they couldn’t consider it fit to zone any of the offices in the official protocol list-President, Vice President, Senate President and Speaker- to Ndigbo and even chairman of the party with all the support over the years to PDP.

“My people, the time has come for change and if this change must come in 2015, the South-East must join the APC train.

“I want to make it clear that APC is the only political party in Nigeria today that can guarantee Igbos presidency in 2015.

“If Ndigbo vote for Jonathan in 2015, it means that they have sold their birth right for a pot of porridge. If Ndigbo vote for Jonathan in 2015, they cannot even get the presidency in 2019 because we all know that power rotation in Nigeria is based on North-South basis and not on regional basis.

This is the reason why we must support the APC, the only party presently constituted in Nigeria to guarantee Ndigbo presidency or vice presidency in 2015.

Come November 16, governorship election will hold in Anambra State. A vote for Senator Chris Ngige of APC is a vote for Igbo presidency. APC governments in Anambra and Imo will leverage the chances of the South-East getting the president or vice president in 2015.

Finally, I appeal to my people in Eke here to join the APC train. For 14 years, we have suffered poor representation by PDP. The time to make a change is now. Thank you all for listening.
