Factional Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), and Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, has said the crisis rocking the Forum and the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, is caused by those angling for the 2015 presidential elections.
Jang spoke at the end of the PDP Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting which held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.
“We know this whole thing is about 2015,” he said. “But I want to let them know that 2015 is in the hands of God. Let us wait and see.”
He reiterated his claim to the chairmanship of the NGF saying he would reach out to other Governors keeping away from the meetings presided over by him and warned the opposition to be wary of trying to cause division in the PDP.
“In a big party such as this, you will expect these crises to happen,” Jang said adding “PDP is solid and if some opposition thinks they will use our members to break our ranks, they are wasting their time.
“By the time we finish our NEC meeting, PDP will come back stronger,” he said. (NAN)No tags for this post.
