2015 Bid:Tension Mounts As Court Fixes Date to Determine Jonathan’s Fate

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential aspirant, Mr Cyriacus Njoku had March brought the for a restraining against President Jonathan from re-contesting by May 29, 2015.

Njoku, from Zuba Ward in the Municipal Area Council with PDP registration number 1622735, had urged the court to declare that Jonathan not swear to an oath thrice in view of section 137(1) (b) of the 1999 Constitution.

He is also an , restraining the PDP from further sponsoring or attempting to sponsor Jonathan as candidate for election to the office of the President in 2015.

Those familiar with the suit said there is tension in the presidency over case.
