Towards the swearing-in and handing-over to the incoming administration, scheduled to hold across the country on May 29, in Sokoto state, Governor Aliyu Wamakko has approved the appointment of a 41-member transition committee.
A statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Sahabi Gada and made available to news men in Sokoto on Sunday stated that Gada will serve as the chairman while the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Transport, Alhaji Bello Sifawa, will serve as Secretary.
Members of the committee include the Head of Service (HOS), Alhaji Bature Shinkafi; immediate past Vice Chancellor of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto (UDUS), Prof. Riskuwa Shehu; former Deputy Governor under Bafarawa administration, Alhaji Chuso Abdullahi; former Secretary to Sokoto State Government, Alhaji Maigari Dingyadi and the state acting Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Usman Danmadamin-Isa.
The committee would be inaugurated on May 5th.
