Saudi Arabia Restores Nigeria Pilgrims’ Quota
Nigeria pilgrims’ quota of 95,000 has been restored following completion of expansion work at the Holy site of Makkah, Consul General, Mr Yusuf Ibrahim Alghamadi disclosed during a visit to Jigawa State. He also said his office is always ready to serve Nigerians
The Consul General who said this during a courtesy visit at Dutse government house also asserted that he was in the state to strengthen the good relationship existing between the Kingdom and Jigawa state as well as Nigeria in general.
He also expressed the Kingdom readiness to expand the area of collaboration with the state for the benefits of each other.
Meanwhile, Jigawa state government has expressed its preparedness to partner with Saudi Arabia in education and agricultural sectors in addition to long existing spiritual ties.Governor Badaru Abubakar stated this while receiving the Kingdom’s Consul General.
The Governor noted that, the state heard about new University established in the kingdom, and they are willing to partner in sponsoring their students to get admission particularly in the area of science, medicine, Technology and other disciplines.
Governor Badaru however told the consulate that, Jigawa is blessed with over 200,000 hectares for wheat production, and they are inviting the kingdom to come an invest under its international wheat production policy.
He also informed the consulate on the state potentiality on Animal husbandry particularly goats and sheep production, and their readiness to supply it to the kingdom as much as needed
