The National headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party,PDP has endorsed Goodluck Voters Forum,GVF as one of its key partners in the 2015 general elections.A certificate sealing the partnership was officially presented to Goodluck Voters Forum at the National Secretariat of PDP last week,a statement by Esanerovo Agbodo,National Coordinator of the Forum said.
Also,Goodluck Voters Forum inaugurated and swore-in the Zonal and State Coordinators of the South-South and South East States Chapters in Portharcourt yesterday.The event was held at SOMITEL Hotel.Among those sworn-in are Barr. Alfred Doibo,Zonal Coordinator South-South while Ogunna Princewill is the state coordinator for Imo State,,Nwaolu Charles(State Coordinator,Abia),Robert Ebinyo(Bayelsa State Coordinator),Akanimoh Umoh(State Coordinator,Akwa Ibom),Barr. Etim Amah(State Coordinator,Cross River). The Zonal and State coordinators for the South-West,North East,North West and North Central zones and Abuja were also appointed and ratified by the National Executive for inauguration next week in all the zones.The South West zone is headed by Pedro Olajide.
Among the National Executives is the National Coordinator,Engr. Esanerovo Agbodo,National Secretary,Alhaji Ahmed Salisiu,National Publicity Secretary,Mr. Udo Silas,National Director,Mobilisation,Charles Mbaba,,National Treasurer,Alhaji Musa Usman,National Organising Secretary,Chief Thomas Imafidon,National Youth Leader,Lanre Miller,Financial Secretary,Dennis Tebite,National Director,Voters Welfare,Evaluation and Monitoring ,Barr. Mark Alabi and the National Legal Adviser,Barr. Anthony Alabi. Eloho Okumo is the Special Adviser,Media to the National Coordinator.
According to a statement signed by the National Coordinator of GVF, Engr. Esanerovo Agbodo,”with the endorsement and the official presentation of certificate by the Peoples Democratic Party to Goodluck Voters Forum,the stage is now set to mobilise prospective voters to vote for Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in the 2015 elections if he eventually accepts the overwelming endorsement by the party as the sole presidential candidate.”
The statement read:”Our campaign for Jonathan will be based on his achievements not on sentiments because as you can see,he has done well. The President has made our job easier because when you are selling a good product,you do not need to talk too much because the product speaks for itself. Dr. Goodluck Jonathan is a good product because his achievements speak for him.The revolution being carried out in the power sector will soon ensure steady power supply in the country in no time;the former comatose rail system in Nigeria is up again; different major road projects are being constructed simultaneously in the country;the sea ports are busier than ever before courtsey of the friendly policies of the Goodluck Jonathan administration;free and fair elections to deepen democracy in Nigeria is now the watch word in the country as demonstrated in the recently concluded Ekiti and Osun states gubernatorial elections;local and foreign investors are jostling to invest in Nigeria because of the conducive investment climate created by this administration; Education and security are major areas of focus to ensure proper national mass literacy and manpower development in the future as well as enhance the safety of citizens and investments; National health status has greatly improved under this administration.”
President Goodluck Jonathan has done well and so it is in best interest of the Nigerian citizens to vote him for a second term come 2015,the statement concluded.
