The Chairman of PDP Northern Youth Awareness Forum, Hon. Sa’id Usman Gombe has called on Governor Shehu Shema to desist from imposing PDP Governorship Candidate in the State , instead he should allow free and fairs primaries.
Speaking in an interview in Kaduna, Sa’id urged Governor Shema to stop his plans of imposing a candidate on the people with a view to avoid causing division within the PDP in Katsina State.
According to him ,“now that a lots of Aspirants have indicated their desire to contest the number one seat in the State, Governor Shema should allow the members of the Party to decide who to vote for”.
Sa’id appealed to the PDP headquarters in Abuja to please in the interest of peace and Unity ensure a transparent primaries for the Governorship.
He also said “reports reaching them have shown that Governor Shema has concluded arrangement to impose one of his Commissioners to be the PDP Governorship candidate in the State, Saying that this act would cause confusion and division, please ensure due process”.
