Kano Bomb Blast : Kwankwaso Visits Injured Victims , Urges Vigilance

kwankwaso-governorGovernor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso of Kano state has called on citizens in the state to support security agencies by stepping up surveillance of their business premises, to avoid attack by insurgents.

Kwankwaso made the call on Tuesday when he visited Kano Line Motor Park in Kano where two suspected insurgents detonated a bomb in a vehicle which led to a death of over 12 people on Monday.

His words: “Let me draw the attention of our young men and women who are conducting their businesses in motor parks across the country to be more vigilant and to check everything so that at the end, with the support of security agencies, we can maintain law and order in the country.”

Governor Rabi’u said he was encouraged by the fact that despite the blast, people working in the Kano Line Motor Park continued with their normal businesses, pointing out that government would not let the wicked insurgents to disrupt the well being of the citizenry.

The governor stressed that the security heads in the state have briefed him on investigations effort over the incident, assuring that the state government would continue partnering with security agencies to protect lives and property.

Gov. Kwankwaso, who visited Mutala Muhammad Specialist Hospital to sympathy with injured victims of the attack, further assured that the government, through the Ministry of Health would shoulder all their hospital bills. He expressed condolence to the families of those who lost their lives as a result of the blast.

Earlier the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim K. Idris told the governor that 12 persons died during the bomb blast, adding that already, investigations have commenced  to identify those behind it.
