Danlami Nmodu,the deputy editor in
chief of Lagos- based Insider Weekly
has resigned from the magazine.He
tendered his letter of resignation
yesterday at the headquarters of the
publication today.
In a three paragraph resignation letter
to the chairman, Board of Directors of
Insider Communications Limited,Nmodu
said ,``After some deep reflection, I
have decided to resign from my post as
Deputy Editor in Chief of Insider
Weekly magazine.
``I use this occasion to thank the
entire Board of Directors of Insider
Communications Limited for the
opportunity given me to serve in
various positions. It is also important
to stress that I have great regards for
the staff of the company with whom I
worked.
Before his elevation to the post of
deputy editor in chief in 2009, Nmodu
had served as executive editor based in
Kaduna.He moved to Lagos in the year
2004 where he continued to contribute to
the growth of the magazine along with
some of the best hands in journalism
namely Declan Okpalaeke, Osa
Director,Janet Mba- Afolabi,Obed Awowede
and Chuks Onwudinjo among others
He began his journalism career as
reporter with TELL magazine very late in
1992.He later joined the Dfunct Sentinel
established by late Dr Stanley Macebuh
.He returned to TELL and became the
Kaduna Bureau Chief /Assistant
editor of TELL before joining his
colleagues to co-found Insider Weekly in
2001.
Nmodu who is now the
publisher/editor in chief of
newsdiaryonline .com is
expected to dedicate more time to
the fast growing news website
