The Governor of Ogun State , Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has described the victory of Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan in the re- run Delta State Governorship election as a re affirmation of the popularity of the People's Democratic Party, PDP  and an  endorsement of the good works the elected governor had done in the State.

The Governor said the people of Delta State have shown that they are solidly behind Dr Uduaghan whose record of service is commendable.

“Let me seize this opportunity to congratulate Dr Uduaghan for once again proving that his victory in 2007 was no fluke. I'm sure that this endorsement from the people will spur him to do more and consolidate his record of achievements and the delivery of democratic dividends to the people. I also congratulate the people of Delta State for making the best choice and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, for conducting a credible election which has further given fillip to the

democratic process. Certainly the victory of Dr Uduaghan and the PDP is a sign of good things to come for our great Party in the coming elections," the Governor stated.

The Governor also seized the opportunity to appeal to all politicians and the generality of Nigerians to work for the success of the forthcoming elections for the good of the country
