Buhari Resumes Duties, Notifies National Assembly
President Muhammadu Buhari has resumed duties today (Monday) after his vacation,his Spokesman,FemiAdesina said in a statement.
The statement by Adesina said “In compliance with Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the President has formally transmitted letters to the Senate and the House of Representatives, intimating the National Assembly “that I have resumed my functions as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with effect from Monday, March 13, 2017, after my vacation.”
It could be recalled that Adesina had hinted through his twitter handle that Buhari would on Monday transmit his letter to NASS announcing his return from vacation.
Buhari returned to Nigeria from London last Friday. Upon arrival at the Presidential Villa,Abuja,Buhari announced that he may still need to go further medical check up soon.
