Fresh fact emerging from Abuja indicate that the cabal that has been determined to keep President Umaru Musa YarAdua  in office has  been doing so for their personal gains. It is now know within the corridors of power that close aides of YarAdua have been ripping off government parastatals all ‘in the name of the president’ even when it is evident now that the president has not been strong enough to give  such directives.The practice of dropping the president’s name to loot is said to have been going on for quite a long time.

Newsdiaryonline has learnt that the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation ,NNPC is the hardest hit by aides of the president.Perhaps emboldened  by the inability of the President to appear in public which has equally made them realize that they have been conned into approving these sweet -heart deals, top officials of NNPC are now ``crying  out  that aides of the president have finished NNPC.`` While this rip off is going on, those who have seen Yar'Adua  describe him to be in ``vegetable `` state.This state of the sick president is now well known among government officials in Abuja.YarAdua returned from Saudi Arabia last  Wednesday but he has failed to either address the nation or appear in public.A reliable source said the president may soon be flown abroad again for further attention.Media reports today suggest that he may head for Germany this time around .But it is not certain yet if he will be  able to make the trip.

The strategy of these aides has been to get NNPC to award contracts and related oil deals  to people whom they claimed were  candidates of President YarAdua when in actual fact these aides were merely perfecting  the massive looting of the oil sector to line their pockets .It has also been revealed  that some of these aides got their cuts after such contracts or special favours have been dished out in what may turn out to be the most deliberate and massive  looting  of NNPC.The exact scale of the looting has not been revealed but insiders aid these people have finished  the oil corporation.

Already two close aides are being named in the big rip off.They include  security and military  personnel  known to be very close to the president. Details of their involvement remain sketchy  but a serious investigation is likely to reveal very disturbing looting.

In fact such aides were believed to have dropped the name of the president in scaring ministers into approving contracts and deals which they ended up profiting from as these aides `` always got their cuts from  the back from such beneficiaries’’ an insider said.

It is believed that these multi million naira deals may be the reason why the cabal is hellbent on keeping a thoroughly sick YarAdua in office``That is why they are trying to maintain the farcade that the President is back’’a source said

Aside from his personal aides ,the federal capital territory  is awash with unofficial hints deals that are being cut behind YarAdua’s back by some ministers said to be close to to the president.One of such ministers is believed to have made about N7 billion from a deal he facilitated for former stakeholders of an embattled corporation.The amount was said to the minister’s 10 per cent compensation for helping to pull through the multi billion naira deal in which the  stakeholders were able to retrieve their investments in the embattled corporation
