The Central Bank of
Nigeria(CBN) today sacked the
Managing Directors/CEOs of some
banks. Those affected are Dr.
Erastus Akingbola, Intercontinental
Bank Plc, Dr. Berth Ebong, Union
Bank of Nigeria Plc, Mrs Cecilia
Ibru, Oceanic Bank Plc and Mr. Okey
Nwosu, Finbank Nigeria Plc.
The sack is linked with the outcome
of the CBN's ordered audit report of
banks which found the affected banks
wanting, as well as their
non-compliance with the
International Financial Reporting
Standard.
